An ear for it

Anyone can hire you a speaker. Mark hires you the confidence that every word, every note and every slide will land exactly the way it should.

Mark started as a sound engineer, and that's still how he listens to a room. He hears the difference between a PA that is loud and a PA that is clear — the vocal that sits right on top of the band, the speaker at a lectern who can be understood at the back table, the hum that shouldn't be there and isn't. Twenty years of mixing festivals, conventions and ceremonies has given him an ear that notices problems before the audience does.

He also understands that the sound is only half the job. A client running a corporate convention needs a crew that turns up early, dresses cables so nobody trips, and keeps the session to time. A festival committee needs someone who has built a stage in a paddock, in the heat, with the power arriving late. A family organising a funeral needs somebody calm who will quietly make sure the eulogy is heard. Mark has done all of these many times over, and he plans for each one differently.
